Your portraits are all incredible, but I like this one the most because of its unique use of cross-hatching with color, rather than just black. Very, very cool. I believe this was also the first piece I ever saw of yours, on a forum thread I think? Anyway, thank you for watching!
I really like your use of colors, and the contrast given between the orange and dark blue, and the expression you gave him is just great and looks funny. At the same time that it makes me feel action in the artwork, it's also giving me some hints of calmness.
Also, his different eye colors and the blue outline around him made this artwork stand out right away.
I like the conception but be carefull of the different colored eyes. The really different colored eyes - especially if the difference between cold like the blue and hot like the orange colors - can make the person squint. the other parts of the picture is jsut good. Its really stylish
I don't often see drawings like this that incorporate a realism as well as such colour and outlines.
There are two things that really stand out with this piece from all the others. One is your cross-hatching, beautiful. The other is that little realistic shine in the eyes. Those I would definitely keep for any future drawings of the like as they both make the piece striking.
Hi! I'm from ProjectComment I love this piece very much. You have a good taste for colour and this strokes look very impressive. You've greatly captured facial expression. The only thing that stroke my eye and I think it's not correct is his right (on the picture) ear. I think it should be not so close to his face. It seems now that it is aproximately at the middle of his head if looking from the side. But you should know that 3 points - ear, eyebrow and chin must form an equilateral triangle. I don't see any more mistakes) Good job!
Thank you I think the ear is because of the angle of his face and the way that I have done the colours on it making it stand out quite a bit but thank you very much for your feedback/pointing it out, I will go back and check that <3
I'm not a huge fan of Elementary, but I must admit you did a very good job with this version of our friend Sherlock ! I really enjoy the colours, especially how you split blue and golden ones to build shadows and light reflects all over his face. (I'm not sure if I'm very clear here... Anyway that's very beautiful!) Plus you have a very precised style in how to create a realistic face, I admire it a lot ! For once I find nothing to criticize xD ! Good job really.
This is a very interesting portrait. I find the way you used the cross-hatching to be really unique. I am in love with the eyes, most of my work focuses on, or with eyes, so I am a huge sucker for anything to do with eyes. My only critique is I find the darkness of the background distracts from the figure in the portrait, if it was a bit lighter in my opinion I think the face would stand out a bit more.
