I started drawing this last night and I was about to add the finishing touches to it this morning when I realised that I had been so tired that I crossed it off without saving before I went to bed *fail* So yeah, I lost about 2 hours of work on this.

Its far from as finished as it was but it is as finished as it is going to get as I attempted to redo what I had lost but my heart just wasn't in it.

Nice nearly-realistic picture of Bette Davis. I happen to like the shading because of how detailed it looks. Anyway, nice portrait.

Beautiful portrayal of Bette! Lighting is difficult to work with, and you pulled it off pretty well. I think you could add some sort of background, but after reading your description, I realize that being tired just makes you want to give up on a piece sometimes! So, been there, done that. :)

Yeah, I do agree that a background might have been nice - though at the same time because the image is quite simple I didn't want to distract from the face.
